On these week-ends our craft workshop will be open to anyone who has had a bit of experience in coppice or green wood crafts (has been on a course with us or someone else or has taught themselves) and does not have access to a full range of facilities at home.
You will be able to use our shave-horses, pole-lathes, cleaving brake and all the hand tools. You will be able to look at the sorts of things which we make and look at a wide range of relevant books.
We will provide you at cost with the materials that you need: green wood, coppice hazel, sawn air-dried timber etc. Rod Waterfield will be here all the time to give advice.
Tea and coffee will be provided and we will have the use of the studio with kettle, basic cooking facilities, wood burner etc. You will be able to camp or caravan with access to w.c. and shower.
