This course is aimed at people who are interested in taking up bee-keeping.
Course tutor Jonathan Garratt is an experienced bee-keeper and a local seasonal Bee Inspector.
We will look at all the basics of bee-keeping, hive construction and siting, managing bees, where to get bees and equipment and the importance of bees in the environment.
There will also be the opportunity to examine some working hives.
Protective equipment will be supplied.
