This course is for owners of woodland, small-holdings etc who would like to erect or repair their own fences rather than call in a contractor.
The course will cover erecting stock-proof fencing : starting and finishing the fence; fixing posts, strainers and struts; tensioning and fixing stock netting and barbed wire; managing changes of direction and level in the fence line.
The course tutor is Robert Edwards an experienced agricultural contractor.
The day will be practical, carrying out the work in the grounds of the Centre.
There is another course on the next day which covers gates, stiles and steps.
